Hello! I’m Jools.
I’ve own and operate WonderPaws Dog Training
Before I started working with dogs, I had a career in the corporate world. Although I'd always connected well with dogs, it was after relocating from the UK to Australia in 2011, and getting Paddy in 2016, that I truly became passionate about learning more about them.
This led me to pursue a nationally accredited Certificate III in Dog Behaviour & Training. As time progressed, I realised I wanted to follow this new direction and apply my knowledge in real-life situations. That journey resulted in the creation of WonderPaws Dog Training in 2018.
I took on my first few clients and did 1:1s in the evenings, or at weekends but only doing Basic Obedience – nothing too complex!

Years later – I’m still here! Only now, there is no more corporate world… I’m a full-time trainer, full time businesswoman and LOVING every minute!
I absolutely love watching owners become confident with their dog!
I absolutely love witnessing the 'owner–dog' relationship reach a new incredible level! A level of understanding with no more conflict!

When you work with me, I give you all I have to help you turn your dog's bad behaviour into good behaviour.
All I ask is – that you meet me halfway.
This means after our 1:1 session, its over to you to practice daily. All you need, is a few minutes, several times a day, every day. Ultimately, the more you put in – the more you’ll achieve.
You can rest assured I’ll be your biggest fan! Always providing feedback on any questions you have and offering all the support you need to keep kicking your training goals!
My own professional development never ends!
There is a saying in the industry… ‘There’s no cookie cutter for training dogs’ – meaning, there isn’t just 1 way to train dogs!
The truth is, there is multiple ways to train a dog with various behaviour issues, and its why I keep investing in my own education. It’s important I keep on top of my own development so I can help many more clients and more dogs.
Ultimately, if I stop learning, I stop growing as a trainer. And if I stop growing, the less dogs and owners I can help!
Below is a list of the professional development I have undertaken so far.

Professional Dog Training Australia
Being a member of Professional Dog Training Australia helps me stay connected, supported, and continually learning within the dog training community. For me, learning never stops - being part of a professional community helps ensure I’m always growing, refining my skills, and bringing the best possible support to you and your dog. It gives clients peace of mind knowing you’re working with a trainer who values professionalism, accountability, and continued development. Great dog training isn’t just about experience - it’s about staying curious, open-minded, and committed to doing better for dogs and their humans every, single, day.

Pet First Aid & CPR Trained
Having a Pet First Aid Certificate is incredibly important to me because your dog’s safety will always come first. We all hope emergencies never happen, and being prepared means, I can stay calm, act quickly, and provide appropriate first aid support if ever needed. Dogs are wonderfully unpredictable (and occasionally a little too adventurous!), so having the knowledge and skills to respond safely, gives both you and your dog extra peace of mind. Dog Trainers don’t just teach skills - they also create safe environments where dogs can learn confidently & safely. Put simply, it’s another way I make sure every WonderPaws session is as safe as possible.
